The ColecoJam Project is a group of projects related to the Colecovision game system from the 1980s running on an Adafruit Fruit Jam. The Fruit Jam is a credit card size device barely wider than a Colecovision cartridge itself but can be used to emulate the Colecovision and play games. The ColecoJam Project incorporates the following projects:

  • The ColecoJam Emulator – A Colecovision emulator running on the Adafruit Fruit Jam. It emulates a 1980s game console by incorporating the use of modern hardware, including an HDMI display, USB-based controllers and a microSD card to store cartridge ROMs,
  • The Game Cartridge Reader – The game cartridge reader connects to the Fruit Jam and can provide support for Colecovision game cartridges using the ColecoJam emulator, or with CircuitPython, it can be used to copy Game Cartridges to a file on the microSD card.
