I’m continuing to build the Moon Miner arcade game, a game written entirely in CircuitPython for the Adafruit Fruit Jam. Here is a list of this month’s progress:
- Game refactored to allow additional missions
- added several animations, including crashes, tip over landings, and volcanos
- Did I mention volcanos? Yes! Once I discovered there are several moons in our solar system with volcanic activity I had to add volcanos as a game element.
- Added game pad controller support
- Help screen with QR code to this site
- Refactored terrain to a smaller resolution for tighter spaces
- Best time now stored for each mission for repeatable playing
Along the way I discovered some new bugs, so I’ll be working on that, but most of the game elements are in place. Stay tuned for more info. In the meantime, here is a video on BlueSky of the volcano and crash animations.
